Hi Everyone, I have not had any ciggs since yesterday evening. I have tried quitting before but ending up re-starting because smoking gave me some sort of satisfactions - a feeling of calm (false off course), which I liked and therefore managed never to quit.
I was wondering if others have noticed similar feeling and how you have managed to overcome these, particularly when the urge gets strong.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, first of all congrats on taking the first step! It’s a big brave move. I can’t give much advice as I’ve only not smoked for 27 days but when I get an urge I think of all the benefits so far. For me that’s stuff like my skin looks nice, there is no more smell, my car is lovely inside not a that I don’t smoke. I also love that feeling of calm that I don’t always have to keep on top of how many cigs I have, do I need to go to the shops etc.
As time goes on you might start appreciating all those little things.
I think one of the very best things I have done is to never buy any more cigs (just in case) I just finished my pack and refused to buy anymore. It sounds really silly and obvious but it’s worked for me!
