Took the patch off for good!

Well I felt so good the other day and then I put on my half patch around 4 and felt sick to my stomach. I was really pissed off about this, it has been creeping up on me that the patch makes me feel sick. Anyway. I just realized I had to stop fooling around and take the stupid, wonderful, thing off. So I did. Day two absolutely no nicotine. So far so good. I am going though some with drawl symptoms but its okay. So I'm writing this post for all the other patch people that have a hard time getting off. For me cutting the last level patch in half for a week was a good thing, It lowered the nicotine level to a point where I could just stop using the thing with only a bit of with drawl symptoms. The company warns not to do this. But I just put a little tape along the cut and had no big surge of nicotine problems. They should really have one lower level anyway. A pharmacist told me the level three patch gets stolen all the time because people use it to get high - well now! So here I am all on my own. I guess the last of the nicotine will leave my system tomorrow? I know I still have to learn to deal with stress and other things. But I think me and nicotine are through!

Ah KatNL , I am so happy for you, congrats and well done. You are fighting this battle and is finally paying off 💪

Yeah, the nicotine should be out of your system by tomorrow so might be a good idea to re-read the pinned posts on nicotine withdrawals and the complacency out of the blue cravings. But most importantly stay close to us and post often especially when struggling 😭😭😠😠

I haven't had much opportunity to post lately but do check in every day so will be keeping an eye on ya 👀👀

Oh thanks! And you have been wonderful Roisin. I think your sensible and honest information and advice really helped me to get here. Especially your advice about coffee. Honestly I would have smoked a couple of weeks ago if I hadn't remembered what you said about coffee and nicotine and realized what was happening and what to do about it. So cheers! I'm hoping this next bit won't be too bad. I'm in production again next week
