Relapsed on hols , very very stupid! Anyways, I'm back on the wagon, last cigarette smoked 05/08/2018 @ 10:30 am.
I'm on day 7 today!
This quitting job is never going to be done!
I've just resumed to my normal non smoking routine, I can't say I had much trouble because I only smoked for less than a month....what's fair is fair and I do not deserve my current badge, so there it is.
Cheers

Good to hear from you mmaya but so sorry to read you relapsed - my heart sank when I seen the post from yourself and shocked especially as we started almost 3 years ago together But I totally understand how it can happen no matter how long we have been stopped.
I too am just back last night from 4 nights in Rome and my god was it a tough test as literally EVERYONE smokes but what saved me from just having 'the one' due to boredom, unable to sleep with the heat at night was that how I detest the smell of smoke and how it makes me feel nauseous.
What happened on holiday to make you want to light up after this time? Fair play to you for getting back on the horse quickly. You know what you have to do.
Well, if it was one or two, I'd just carry on as I've always done, but this was full on, I had 20 per day for over a month.
I had to deal with a very distressing situation and wasn't able to without my crutch.
I'm still an ex-smoker, but I now understand even better the nature of this addiction.
It was very easy to stop, I just had to pull myself aside and have a few chats with myself, but I learned that my quit job is only started and will never be done for me.
Great to hear from you GrahamA - I'm grand, thanks, heading to my 3rd year smoke free on 17 September, time just flying by. Been a hectic year, started a completely new job after being made redundant back in August 2016 from the Financial sector. I went back to college to do something I have a passion for which is baking/cooking, done a professional cookery course and landed a job as a chef in a local Nursing home, loving it but its hard work especially in this heatwave Ireland has been having since May
How are you keeping? Fair play to to you remember 'rowens'
Thanks GrahamA , I never looked back from the redundancy, best thing that could have happened me as wasn't happy there for a while and in a rut. Doing something I love now but still getting used to the physical work
Hercu, Nozmo, ThinLizzy (back to her old name of Dizzylizzy123 recently) are still around and post every so often to check in...
CocoaXChange is around a good bit.
Kacmins, Incy_Wincy, Nicfirth, Chickweed, Canwes, Annmaire74 usually post once a year when they reach another yearly milestone...
Linda545 was back with us a good while ago but not heard from her in ages. Think that is all the ones you may remember...
What date in September for your big 4 years milestone badge?
I don't think so...I didn't use the forum for 2 years and when I logged in now, I only recognise Roisin...sorry.
That can only be good news! I wouldn't even log in if I hadn't been stupid again Almost 3 years! Well, not all loss, the fact remains that its better to have smoked for 30 days then for 3 years...
I'm also feeling really embarrassed and even humiliated that this happened again! ...so coming back is almost like my self inflicted penalty for being an ignorant.
It was very hard to admit I was back on smoking.
But I had to do it otherwise I would have kept smoking hiding from everyone.
I'm on day 18 today, apart from teeth pain, I'm feeling awesome!!!
