Not done so well this week , cravings are getting worse , dreaming about smoking , thinking about smoking, driving me nuts , not given in but feel I could crack at any moment , starting a new job tomorrow and hoping no smokers there πŸ˜”, hopefully this is just a stage that will pass 😁

Hey Kinger49 - well done for posting when having a hard time, this is what the community is all about - looks like you are experiencing 'The Icky Threes' or 'The Blahs' as in below pinned post, it will pass, I promise.

healthunlocked.com/nosmokin...

Are you still using your vape, perhaps have it on stand by for tomorrow and starting your new job? Take time out tomorrow and go to the ladies if the cravings get severe and do some deep breathing exercises - inhale and exhale for 5 seconds 3 times. Drink plenty of water tomorrow and avoid coffee if you can as will increase anxiety and you will have enough of that tomorrow...

How good is it going to say to your new fellow colleagues tomorrow that smoke, 'I don't smoke' - practice saying that in front the mirror, I done this at the very start of my journey when struggling bad with cravings, it worked to see myself saying it

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

I'm sure it will Kinger, these things crop up now and then and it's more than likely it will disappear, just as inexplicably as it appeared. I used to wonder how I could have about ten days where everything was fine then a couple when it drove up the wall. I still don't know the answer! The bad days do get less frequent though, honestly.

A new job is a good thing from a smoking point of view - you won't associate any of it with smoking so once you have settled in it should get easier.

Good luck tomorrow, hope it goes well for you and the cravings disappear soon.

Good to hear Kinger49 - if you gradually built up to vaping more, then it could have contributed to the strong cravings you were experiencing, when further on in your journey you can work on weaning off it - I hear you about putting your well being first job wise, currently trying to do that at the moment as have an once off opportunity to get a job I will be happy in (long story short, made redundant August 16 after being in Financial Sector for 20 years, decided to do a complete U turn and go back to college as a mature student to do Professional Cookery course as have a passion for cooking and baking, course finished back in May 17, looking to get a job to suit me now)
