1 year and counting

yes, have made the 1 year mark, and at the beginning did I ever think I would be here..it was a tough few months,but I got there and will keep going, on a lighter note - sadly have now lost both parents to lung cancer, my lovely mum passed away 1 month ago, so this had made me more determined to never smoke again xx

So sorry to hear you lost your mum, they really are irreplaceable in our lives. I'm sure she would be very proud that you reached a year.. Especially with all the added stress and emotional upheaval!

I am so sorry to read of the passing of both your parents and more recently your Mam, such an horrendous and sad time to have to deal with, but I am sure she will keep you motivated for the rest of your smoke free journey.

Well done , I can’t believe your counting though lol 😂

I’m 6 months and don’t bother counting now as found I just started getting on with things And stopped thinking about smokes .. yes the occasional reminder ....do you still get them after 12 months ??

Stress situations where I’d normally take time out and light up is strange now ... I stop , then think of the cig break but carry on instead now ... job gets done quicker to lol

Well done again ...and we need to keep posting our success story as it’s an inspiration to others who think the possible is impossible at the beginning stage 👍

Grief is a strange thing rose001 and plays with our emotions like a rollercoaster and out of the blue, talking and letting it out when needed is a great healer along with time.....
