hi guys myself and hubbie have been smoke free for 56 days we smoked 30 fags a day each and spent at least half if not more of my wages on cigarettes a month. we now have be able to put some money away for a rainy day i have taken my daughter and 2 grandchildren away for 5 days and I know all this sounds fabulous but the thing is I still think about fags !!!!! myself and hubbie are due to go on our holiday in Sept same place same time every year and the fisrt thing we have done for the past 4 years is go to the tabocconist and buy 400 fags lay on a sun lounger smoke and read for a whole week I'm actually dreading this holiday because my heart is telling me one thing and my brain is telling me another and my husband feels the same.

Welcome jew7472 and congratulations on 56 days smoke free. I am over 22 months quit cold turkey and randomly get that urge for a smoke still but shrug it off pretty quickly. The huge advantage for your holiday is that you will have support for both yourself and hubby as neither of you smoke anymore BUT you'll need to be strong for yourself.

It will be the biggest curve ball but you CAN do it, from now to your holiday start preparing. You will be 100 days or more quit by then.

Maybe do up an itinerary to keep you busy, as when you first quit adjustments were made to your routine lifestyle so perhaps do the same for your holiday 8-)

PS See below pinned post from our member Tryingtquit who overcome his holidays no problem at just over the 50 day mark!

Also, can you confirm your quit date for your milestone badges when you get a chance.

Welcome jew7472 - well done on over 56 days quit now! Definitely adjust how you will spend your time during your holiday, plan day trips maybe - keep active as sun bathing would perhaps not be the best idea on your first holiday smoke free....
