Welcome Jrod8484 to our community and congratulations on 8 days quit. I too posted my first post here on Day 8 as was pulling my hair out - I quit cold turkey 22 months ago and here to tell the tale!

Are you going cold turkey or using any aids such as champix or patches etc? They can cause nausea - is it dizziness you are experiencing too as this is a very common withdrawal for the first week or so, but if it gets worse or not improve I would just go to your doctor for reassurance, dizziness can be caused when we from increased oxygen getting into our blood stream and lack of sugar so drink plenty of water and fruit juices to maintain this.

Good for you going cold turkey :) As said above, head to your doc if it gets worse or does not improve and keep hydrated and sugar levels up with fruit and juices, below is a more detailed post of withdrawals I done up at the beginning of my quit if not already read, you are doing great!

Hi Jrod8484 - how is the dizziness now? Has it eased off as in the withdrawals in the pinned post it should only last several days

("Dizziness

Your body is getting extra oxygen like it hasn't seen for a long time. Get fresh air, go for a walk, change positions slowly. It will last several days and will go away.")

May not be a quitting withdrawal but a virus thing that may need to be checked out by doctor. Hope it gets sorted out soon for you...

Welcome Jrod8484 - as advised I would definitely go to your doctor to get checked as the dizziness / vertigo is likely not to be quitting related (may be you have gone already?? )

Hi Jrod8484 - I also suffered with dizziness and that motion sickness feeling for about a month into my quit, couldn't take much more of it so went to doctor and had an acute middle ear infection - definitely go to your doctor, if anything, just to put your mind at ease....

Glad I wasn't the only one and thank you for the info. I went to the doctor. He at least put my mind to rest. Gave me antibiotics and motion sickness patches.

Thats good Jrod8484 - what did the doctor say it was and give you antibiotics for? Seems bizarre to put you on motion sickness patches?
