Life is too short.....

which was thankfully reminded to me this week, so spent the morning booking our holiday this year, we weren't going to bother as wanted to concentrate on getting a part-time job and building on my homemade baking but decided to just go for it. Will have plenty of time to do this...

So, with the glorious weather we have been having here in Ireland (hopefully, I haven't jinxed it now! 8-) ) I booked a week touring the south coast of Ireland the 2nd week in August, starting off in County Clare, booked into Bunratty Castle Hotel for 2 nights, then heading off to Killarney, finishing off in the west in Connemara, if the weather is good to us, it really will be paradise.......

Anyone else heading off on holidays in the coming months?

Ah Roisin, you will love it, from down south and we seem to get the best of the weather and have done so for the last few summers, I know I am biased but it really is a beautiful part of the country. You should definitely try the Bunratty Medieval Castle Banquet evening if you can, great nights entertainment with delicious food :)

Ah jaysus Beatit , would you believe booked the banquet evening straight after I booked the hotel as the reviews of it on trip advisor were 5 stars, really looking forward to it, any other suggestions? Will obviously do the folk park and castle?

There is a good few other castles nearby worth seeing - Kinappogue Castle, Dromoland Castle Golf and Country Club, King John's Castle, then Frank McCourts museum, The Treaty Stone...

Definitely...Roisin..With summer returning rapidly I must get rid of this cabin fever and bash a few waves...Temperatures getting to the 35's midday but mornings still cold below 20 deg C.

August for us is nasty due to strong winds preparing the land for the summer rains starting September...Maybe I might hibernate up to September...!!

Have a good time Roisin!

Our weather has been absolute crap. I even considered putting the heating on last week when it was 12 degrees outside. Makes it worse when seemingly everywhere in Britain and Ireland is having nice weather apart from north east England/southern Scotland. Raining AGAIN all day today. I'm off to Menorca in August as there's no way I'm gambling on the weather in these unpredictable isles.

You've started me off now Roisin 😀

Ah I love Cork Exfirecracker , if I was going to move somewhere in Ireland it would be Cork, either Cobh or Kinsale, been there numerous times, never to Clonakilty, on my wish list :)
