Hello Tanya,

I've been smoke free for nearly 16 months and I quit the ecig after about 6 months. What nicotine level are you on? I very gradually weaned myself down to 0% nicotine and then I found I just didn't get anything from vaping anymore so I drifted away from it.

I'm still 11 mg I plan next week to lower to 6

As mushen says, you don't even have to go in such big steps...you could blend liquids.

Mix 11mg with 6mg (half and half) and you have 8.5mg - not so much of a step down.

I didn't think of that x what a good idea x I will do that this week x thank you

Hello. I did the same as Nozmo but over a shorter period. Cut down on the strength of the liquid you are using a bit at a time until eventually you are using 0mg. You can mix your own strength as well by diluting what you have already.

hi Tanya Fantastic quit! I am in the same position as you, quit over a year ago, and I am on zero nicotine but struggling to give up my e cig. I know its all in my head but I suffer the same panicky feeling when I try to stop it as I did when I gave up the smokes. My plan is to pick a date, reread my Alan Carr book and go for it!! X 😊

I feel like u do. I take my puffa everywhere even when I go to bed. Sometimes I don't even puff just have it in my handbag. I feel panicky without it to. My nicotine is still high 11 after a year and a half. I don't puff all the time just after meals and first thing in the morning. So my plan next week to go on a 6 and then after a month a 3 till i'm at 0 x

Welcome Tanya1976 and congratulations on over a year and a half quit. I quit 19 months ago cold turkey so can't offer any advice on the vaping but you appear to have got some great tips from nozmo and mushen. Wishing you strength and success to stopping the vaping, keep us posted :)

PS Could I get your quit date for your milestone badge of over 1 year when you get a chance.

Also...forgot to mention:

Initially I started to cut out the ecig in stages, starting with the situation I was most comfortable with and then working up to the hardest situation until I was off them completely. So in my case I decided to cut out using the ecig at work at first, and planned to stop using it at home next, and then finally the hardest situation for me to not smoke - the pub!!!

That was the plan anyway but as I say after going to 0% nicotine I sort of drifted away anyway. It might be something you could try? Hope that makes sense - hard to explain.

Yes that makes sense thank u. My husband was on a ecig but gave it up when he had a sore throats and never looked back. I'm finding this as hard as giving up smoking. My plan is to go down to 6mg by next week
