Hi I'm new too, I'm 15 days smoke free now. Like you, I've quit in the past (not as long as five years- just 6 months) and definitely feeling more positive and "ready" this time! This is such a great forum, everyone is really helpful :)

Why did you relapse? I was out with buddies having drinks when a friend offer me one and the next thing I knew I was smoking! That led to another then another etc :( I was so upset the following day!

My other half and me had an almighty argument and I just lit up in anger, felt even worse after smoking it! Ah I don't drink but I've heard alcohol can be a trigger for a lot of people, I think it's true that us ex smokers have to stick to the rule of not one single puff ever!

I was using the gum but I ran out and decided to try the mouthspray, I find it better in the sense that I seem to need it a lot less frequently than the gum, not sure why! What about you?

Gum and mouthspray..interesting.Im glad its working for you!! I went right for the stuff prescription medicine.I used Zyban! I am using it this time to. It worked before for 5years! So far its working really good again. No craves at all. I was out with friends last nite watching the hockey game and a couple of them were in and out smoking! Didn't bother me at all! They did stink thou! That was a big thing for me was the smell after having one. In the beginning of my first quit I thought the worst thing was going to be having a drink without a smoke but it didn't really bother me at all. They are right when they say a lot of its in your head. Your stronger than you think. Some say to enjoy and stay in the moment when there is a crave! Actually embrace it! Its your body healing and adjusting. Anyways I am just so done with these things controlling me. I hate being a slave to them and always booking my life around them. How are you feeling with this current new quit of yours?
