Welcome Charolette123 and congratulations on Day 3. How are you doing your quit - cold turkey? If so, hang in there as the nicotine is almost out of your system.

I would suggest lots of deep breathing and drink plenty of water or fruit juices. Have a read of below if not already done so

Hello! 3 days without smoking is excellent- don't forget that amongst all the stress. Don't under-estimate just how well you are doing and that it can be very stressful. It can make you feel anxious, irritable and downright prickly, but it is worth it. Just hang in there.

During my first few days just about everything annoyed me. It can be quite a lonely experience. However you are not alone in this so come on here and post and rant if need be.

Keep at it. You are doing so very well. 🖒☺☺

Truly amazing day three, is indeed a magic number, as day one and two are over.

I've learnt the very hard way, if you can do day one, then other days a truly doable.

Great to have you with us keep posting

Welcome Charlotte! Super-stressed is normal, please don't think there's anything wrong, or it's just you. Most of us went through it and we know how you feel.

Getting to day three on your own is brilliant, give yourself a pat on the back.

Keep posting to let us know how you're doing.

Day 3 is tough, as the early days are. Remind yourself why you are quitting, distact yourself, be tougher then that nicotine demon, (he wants you for life) and just leave his sorry arse .The days will get easier as you go along. Day by day you will get better, things will be easier.

Stick with it Charolette, the reading Roisin cited is very helpful, as is the other advice. And it does get better after a few days.
