Day 2

Sat in the Spanish sun enjoying a coffee without a cigarette. I am surprised I'm not really craving one but I guess its early days. I was a heavy smoker especially when out in the bars with my smoking friends so it will be a challenge but am determined to quit for good this time.

Hi Jean, nice to hear that you're into day 2 without any real cravings. Watch out for the unexpected ones at the start...the ones where you forget that you're supposed to be quitting! It's hard to explain but you will know what I mean if it happens.

Keep posting to let everybody know how you're getting on.

Yes I live in Spain. Just had one of those moments where I forgot I was quitting, been doing a bit of ironing and when finished automatically looked for my fags. I guess there'll be many more times before I finally realise I've quit.

It happens a few times in the first week but it goes pretty quickly. I would start searching in my pocket for my lighter, then the realisation would hit.
