Really struggling here, I saw my stop smoking guy today and he's prescribed the inhalator as well, I was honest and said if my back wasn't giving me so much pain I would have gone out and bought some

Claire, You have overcome yesterday, and the day before and day before..........back up to day 1

9 days is gr8...!!!!!!!!

You have gone so far already please fight it day by day as you did from day 1.

I feel so sorry for you to have to fight the craving and the back pain ,,,,,

We are with you.....

Be Stronggggggggg

You can do this claire. One day at a time. It will get easier - you are nearly through the worst part.

The early days are rough Claire, I had two occasions in my first two weeks where if I'd had fags in the house, I'd have smoked one. I didn't though, and it's lead to a smoke-free life now. You're doing brilliantly, nine days is huge, a great achievement; protect it at all costs :)

Claire, these aren't just words of support to us here who have or are dealing with having quit recently. We have all felt anguish and despair and frustration and loss and many of us that have overcome this are saying you can do this because we/they have done this. It's achievable, although definitely not easily. Just know that for many, weeks 2 and 3 are equaly hard as the 'hell week' but in a different way. I still, at 8 weeks, wonder if i'll be able to continue but each day I find more and more reason to stay quit. Do your best, hang tough, continue posting and reading often, deep breathes, drink lots of water, keep occupied as much as possible with things that you can't associate with smoking ex: excercise, movie theatres, shopping malls, restaurants etc. Let us know how your doing on day 10 and be proud of yourself each day you wake up knowing you didn't give in to this horribly addictive monster we were all so dependant on once upon a time.

I'm gutted with myself, thought just the one wouldn't hurt yesterday as was feeling pretty low after the week I have had, well it wasn't just one so I'm back to day one tomorrow, I will beat this, if I get like this again I will come on here and post rather than give in , so Canwes day 10 didn't go well :(

Sorry to hear your having such a hard go of it Claire, you know you can start the quit again straight away. Slight lapse, no biggie. Get right back on that horse and of course come here often and post and tell us what's going on. Someone is always willing to lend some support or possibly advice to help. Most of us live in glass houses so please come back, don't be shy. This forum is all about helping one another, not judging. See you again soon. :)

That's what I love about this sight, everyone understands, I will beat this though, back on it tomorrow
