Day 4

Hello everyone! I've been trying to sign up for a few days now but it's taken me til now to get the activation email!

Anyway I'm a 21 year old uni student trying to make quit before I cause too much damage to myself. Also to be honest I realised its a pretty unattractive behaviour and I'm too vain not to try and stop aha.

I managed to quit for a month earlier this year but ended up starting again to do my dissertation. I know it wasn't a great decision, but I found I was still unable to concentrate for long enough to study even after weeks of trying, so eventually I gave in and went back to 20 a day... but at least I finished my work! To be honest I wouldn't have made it as far as I did if I weren't constantly lurking on here, reading everyone's super helpful advice and stories and knowing other people are struggling with the same stuff.

Anyway now that I'm done with that I need to quit again. I'm four days in so it's going ok! I'm pretty worried about taking smoking with me to whatever I'm doing post graduation... I kind of feel like this is my last chance to stop before I'm a real adult? I dunno if that sounds stupid but hopefully you get what I mean.

Thanks for reading, everyone! I'm pretty excited to finally be on here and (hopefully) carry on with my smoke free life.

A big welcome to you Tricho, how are you doing this cold turkey? Patches? Champix? You've definitely made the right decision in joining the forum, there are lots of really lovely people on here and there's always support if you need it, good luck to you xx
