New here and on day 4

Hi all

I stopped smoking on Thursday 28th February and on day 4 now. Using the inhalator only. Working well so far, although have found it really tough tonight and came on here.

Reading all these posts has really helped to make me see I'm not alone!

Kids and hubby's moaning I'm a misery but I think I'm allowed to be, as they would if I stopped giving them food!!! ;)

Give it time and effort

Clarley33. just give it a little time and effort and you wont be disappointed, the cravings will soon be NONE existent (or just like a fly landing on your nose you bat it off and after a short time he gets fed up and just goes away)

GOOD LUCK and dont give in you have many benefits to gain...............trust me it gets easier and easier

BIG WELL DONE ON REACHING DAY 4

:D

Try and concentrate on one day at a time breaking it up into different sections keeping mind and hands busy when you feel a crave coming on

it does get easier the further down the quit road you go

onwards and upwards is the only way to go

Keep going!!

Well done! I keep thinking, I've got through the worst bit (I'm on day 5 now) and I don't want to have another drag, or I'll end up having to go through the first 2 - 3 days again. They were awful!

Hiya Clarey and Missym, quit buddies in the making I reckon?

You'll both find it an enjoyable experience if you stick together. It's brilliant that you've decided to quit, it's the best thing either of you will ever do for yourselves

Stay strong, it's really worth it and it definitely gets easier

Sorry to ask this, but anyone using Nicorette inhalator? Been using this for 5 days all going well, but I have terrible upset tummy and very bad wind! Is it the inhalator or is it smoking withdrawal?? Thanks

Aha! Someone else suffering from bad wind!!! Haha! So pleased its not just me then! I'm using ecig and have got the same thing, I think it probably is the nicotine, well, I hope so anyway!! Well done by the way, keep it up xx

I had digestive problems when I first quit too. It's all part and parcel I think. If you search threads for it you'll find out more.

Don't worry though it's perfectly normal and passes fairly quickly

Hi Clarey I used the when I first quit and got terrible wind and heartburn. I think its because we are puffing on it as if our life depended on it. I think as you get further on you wont be trying to puff it like a cig, try just keeping it in your mouth and gently take little puffs, you wont need to use it as much soon, hang on in there it will be worth it:)

Inhalator and wind!

Hi Clarey - yes used the Nicorette inhalator on Saturday when I went out. I don't think the people in the pub were impressed - I was rather windy! ;)

Keep me posted as to how you're getting on. We gave up on the same day 27th February 2013. My last cigarette was at 7am - I smoked half of it and then threw it away!
