If at first...

As long as you learn something from each quit then none of them are a waste of time Donna. You do have to remember each lesson learned and take the experience forward with you, otherwise you are destined to make the same mistakes, make the same wrong decisions and allow history to repeat itself.

You can do this but there are times when the only thing that will get you through a tough patch is pure willpower.

Do you have enough willpower for those times? I think so, but you have to believe too.

Good luck :)

Donna, no one has more quits than I did last year, heck I was a "serial" quitter for about six months.

Patience with yourself, desire to make the change and one time will be the last. It will just click and you will do this. I have faith in you. Those of us that struggle time and time again do eventually get it. We really do want to quit, remember that.

You can do this, dust yourself off and let's get to it eh? ;)

I'm with ya all the way....

Just take it easy, a day at a time, the days and weeks will rack up by themselves, just don't do the "never again" thing, it's too much to deal with.

One day? We can all do that :)

Good to see you back on track Donna - you know the pitfalls, you're ready to take them on, you'll be fine - this is your time, good luck and keep us posted,

Donna

I echo everyone's encouragement, you already know what a Rollercoaster this quitting malarkey is! I agree with Angrybear, baby steps, take each day as it comes, and 'the never say never again' - 18 months down the line and I've never knowingly said those words. Worked for me!

Can't really add anything to what has already been said, but just wanted you to know I shall be rooting for you too Donna. :)

Starting a new job is a damn good incentive. As you say, your new colleagues will only ever know the non-smoking you and that has to be worth fighting for.

May fortune smile upon you. :)
