As of today I haven't smoked for 10 weeks, not too sure how I have got here really it's all been a bit of a blur at times!
Last week was particularly awful but finally I am coming out the other side and I am back to being positive and happy again these moments come out of nowhere and rather than lasting 3 minutes as a crave apparently does  it can last all day!:eek:
There have been ups and downs aplenty during this last week but everyone's entitled to a wobble during a quit aren't they? :D having good muckers on here helps no end, it's nice to know someone cares so thanks for the PM's and messages it really means a lot when u feel down xx
Still no health benefits apart from the purse is fuller, but I know I smell better, I spray perfume in the morning and can still clearly smell it at lunchtime, my eyes are brighter, the whites of my eyes are almost a bluey colour as opposed to dull yellowing, bloodshot eyes.... Another benefit is my hair smells of shampoo, silly I know but it's the little things that mean a lot ;)
2 weeks to go to 3 months! My goodness, ME at 3 months quit?? Who'd of thunk it
Positive vibes to all the newbies and Freedom fighters, we WILL do this! Xxxxxx
Much love mon amies

Absolutely brilliant Donna, I'm delighted for you, you had a hard time and came through kicking and screaming to the other side Nobody said this was gonna be easy and by feck it isn't
Here's to another week as a non-smoker and onwards and upwards to month 3 xx
10 weeks is fantastic. You are methodically plodding through your quit doing all the right things. You are using the patches correctly this time and taking the emotional ups and downs on the chin as they happen. I know you felt really low last week but you never stopped encouraging others along on the forum and that in turn helped you to get through. So well done indeed for that.
Great to hear you now are feeling better and back to your perky self.
I know you won't fail and I'll see you in that penthouse soon.
Definitely John, I am over the moon, that's the thing, when u quit you do wallow and whinge a bit sometimes, but smokers just don't understand do they? Living in their ignorant bubble..... Not long for you now either til the penthouse, well done!
Hi, how wonderful to read such a great post it gives insight to what is a long journey we take, with our decision to quit.
Many many congrats on your continued quit, following in you foot steps
Thanks Tracey, you are doing fantastic too, it is a long journey, but we are doing it and that's why we are here xxx
Well done Donna
I know exactly what you mean about having hair that smells of shampoo. I still get excited about that.
You're doing SO well and deserve huge amounts of hugs and congratulations.
Thanks Skids , it's great isn't it? I used to douse myself in perfume after a cig but all it did was create a horrible faggy/perfume smell.... much nicer now xx

Cheers Blondie, I apologise if I have whined or been full of self pity.... But this is hard, there are plenty of others that have found it difficult recently too, I'm so pleased to be back to my happy positive self, I have a renewed enthusiasm for this quit and nothing will stop me now, I'm sure there will be more bad days ahead but it's par for the course and I am just gonna roll with it not long til 3 months quit for us! Xxx
Donna this definitely is the final one
You worked hard to get here so enjoy every minute x x
Cheers Karri, this definitely is the one, how are you doing Hun? Xxxx
Congratulations Donna I'm really pleased for you and so pleased that you are feeling better :D

Bless you TG that's a lovely thing to hear, am definitely feeling much happier, I now know that my bad week was due to being a girl lol..... Much better now that's out of the way xxxxx
You have done an excellent job of getting here. I know at times it is difficult to hold it together, it can get very close to the wheels falling off!
You have struggled and you have persevered and you are now here. If you are not feeling all the benefits now, you will one day. Smelling nice is ace isn't it!

Really pleased for you Donna.likevTG said you are an inspiration to us all 10 wks fantastic
Thanks Carol, you FF30 and Ola are all doing wonderfully aswell, nearly at 8 weeks? awesome!!!! xxx
For the record..you haven't whinged at all during your quit. You have described how you feel and how withdrawal hits a lot of us but not once said "why me" or anything like it. Your posts help others realise these ups and downs are common when quitting. Plus as mentioned before, you still find time to help others when going through a bad patch which speaks volumes about your character.
Keep the posts going..a lot of people who are trying to quit benefit from them including me.
I didn't reply earlier because I was too busy creating threads about imaginary cigarettes, that don't harm your health, but do make you stink and cost the same amount
You're doing great and seem like a genuine nice person!
Yay Donna well done to you!! You seem very happy to be a non smoker which is most of the battle won to be honest hon so you are well on your way!
I think for us girls all those things you mention really matter, because we spend our cash on nice shampoo and perfume and when you smoke its like burning money twice over! what a waste!

Sometimes that's exactly what it takes Donna. There are times when it seems easy and times when it's almost all out war.
What defines your quit is the way you battle when you have to. You have what it takes, all you have to do is believe in yourself.
Lisa42 on this forum once said to me that she thought I had what it took to be a successful quitter as she had been on the forum long enough to be able to tell. I think the same of you, you have what it takes.
