Am still here, still off the evil fags and doing pretty well
Am impressed 'cos my mind is really changing how I see them - know I said yesterday I didn't see it as the cool rebel thing any more, but the idea of smoking and the thought of what I've dome to myself so casually is a bit sick making.
Whatever it is that's changed in me over the last couple of weeks I'm loving it
Know I'm not out of the woods - that I've got to keep my mindset the same and not slip back, and also not let the craves drive me back to smoking but so far I'm sell and truly on the wagon.
Anyhow, in the 9 days, 8 hours and 25 mins since I put my last fag out:
I have saved £115.75
Not smoked a disgusting at least 281 fags (was a 30+ smoker and we had a weekend in there, so add another load to that)
And not inhaled 2.52g of tar :eek::eek:

Yeuch - how much tar  I wonder how we ever did that to ourselves. You are doing so well Gemma, keep those positive thoughts and you will be in that penthouse before you know it

It's scary, had to check my app to make sure I'd got it right :eek:
They were lights too - ick
sad thing is that because we can't see it, it's like it doesn't exist, so daft isn't it?
Thanks hun, I'm definitely sticking to it now, no going back to th old stinky me!!
Day 10 for me too, glad everyone is staying focused.
The stressful situation that has had me running to cigs my last few quits has reared it's ugly head again:(.
But I know in my heart that smoking doesn't solve any problems...it just adds another to an already stressful mind....So I'm sticking to my quit this time hoping my strength will help overcome it....
Yey my little quit buddy's coming up the rear well behind......no that doesn't sound right either Megga please for you Gem Gem's keep at it, we are both heading in the right direction

Happy days
Aww I'm sorry you're having a stressy day!!
Not a good time for you, but it's fab you realise smoking won't improve anything!!
Had a stressy start too but necking rhodiola liquid has calmed me down more than smoking ever would, and it doesn't make me stink, ill, or feel sick - result!!
I'm so happy for you Gemma! The days will soon turn into weeks and then months etc.Your positivity is brilliant. Just keep fighting for your freedom from that nasty drug!

Awww thanks hun
It feels like ages since I last smoked, seems quite odd that i ever did, especially so much  and thought I liked and needed it :confused:
I feel completely different to how i did 11 days ago, and it's fab!!
Positive, nice smelling Gemma is back to stay :cool:
Lol...I just seemed to have a perm ache all over!!
Its amazing what you notice isnt it? After you stop I mean.....you seem to suddenly realise. Its mad what the smoking actually hides, I still find it bizarre now!

Properly nasty wasn't it?
Right from when I social smoked, if I smoked a lot it my legs (especially my left one) would really ache - like you get if you bounce up and down on concrete if that makes sense?
That's been the same from when I was 13 so don't think it could have been that I wrecked my circulation,:eek:
But yeah we put up with so much, always clearing our throats, aches, the odd burn, damage to stuff, all that rubbish - why?:confused:
I look at my OH when he lights one up, and kinda slightly screw my nose as he takes a drag...its nothing against him smoking, its his choice, but the thought of inhaling that acrid smoke into my wonderfully repairing lungs seems totally horrific!! lol

Oooh I don't blame you!!
Thinking back on it, even though i'm craving now, the idea of smoking is pretty ick!!
Am looking forward to being free of the craves altogether 'cos they're annoying!!
What all this has shown is we all have different days and situations where we crave. But staying strong and getting through seems to be working for all of us.
Glad you feel better Gem 2 wks are in sight, but still taking it day by day.
Feeling confident I'm going to make it and never smoke the dreadful things again

Oh that is so true!!
We can get through whatever poo life throws at us, and do it without inhaling stinky smoke
Glad you're staying positive and strong, that's the important bit!!
