To a new room!!! One calender month today, something that I did not think was achievable, I really didn't.
There have been tears and tantrums (many of both), sleepless nights, nausea, panic, night sweats.
There has also be moments of pure joy when I realise that I don't smoke anymore. When I realise that I can stomp up the hill to work without being ridiculously out of breath, and then not have to stop for a fag at the top.
I love being a non smoker, no matter how hard it is it's no harder than making your life revolve around poison. I used to dread going to the cinema because I couldn't smoke, theatre the same. I would sometimes pretend to go to the loo just so I could sneak a fag in but would be too embarrassed to let on. I have sneaked out of kids assemblies because they were going to on long. It just embarrasses me now!!
Anyway, here's to month 2..a new day and a new room to move into tomorrow...Mina, Tracey ,Junius...I'm leaving the door on the latch for you, don't be late!!
