World Health Organisation statistics claim there has been over 387,000 smoking related deaths since I quit 41 days ago. If that doesn't put things into perspective nothing will.
Been spoiled with nice gifts this morning. Happy Valentines Day everyone x

Thanks for that bit of info. I'm on day 45 and have had a bad couple of twinges today. I think it's because I've sort of forgotten the reasons for quitting, those sobering statistics have now put my head right.

Heartbreaking aren't they? Sorted me out this morning too.
Yeah things like that didn't help me when I was smoking but now they're poweful for keeping you going. They put up a big billboard on my drive home from work just by a set of traffic lights that I always have to stop at. It's a smoking clogs your arteries poster and I stare at it and feel pleased with myself that my arteries are starting to recover and no longer full of gunge. Gives me a little glow inside!

I take it your sleep patterns are shot as well!
Yeah sleeping is a bit all over. I've been on herbal nytol for a week and had a few decent nights but not consistent. It's an ongoing challenge for me :).

I hope it gets a lot more consisent for you, it's properly miserable when you can't sleep!!
Yeah i'm struggling to get into a decent sleep pattern as well. It's a bit of a shock as i used to be able to fall asleep at will! Is the herbal nytol working/helping?

Yes it's definitely helping as I have managed to extend my sleep most nights from 4 to 6 hrs. Falling asleep just after 1am as opposed to gone 3am. Some nights it makes no difference though.
