Day 41, much better day :)

Hi guys :)

Well here we are at day 41 and things are much better. Just brought Dad home from hospital and all appears to be well. All he wants is to go for a pint so normal service is resumed!

Many thanks again to all those who gave us their best wishes, it means a lot to know there are so many people who care :)

So it will be 6 weeks quit tomorrow and I really hope I have cracked it. I went and saw some really old mates yesterday (always do when I am down this end) and they were smoking. I felt myself wavering again, you know really good friends, old stomping ground, a few drinks etc etc. But I resisted and in the end they were saying how much they want to quit. I hope they make it cos I love them dearly. Just goes to show that when you quit your are giving up nothing, you are gaining life. I think most smokers know it, they just don't admit it.

Right that probably didn't make any sense, but I know what I mean!

So thanks once again for all the support and keep on keeping on everyone :)

Cheers

Jim

Makes total sense Jim, you're bang on the money! And that was quite a trigger to face down, on top of all the stress and trauma with your Dad - well done that man!

Onwards and upwards mate, you're doing GREAT!

Thanks Kat :)

Believe me I was tempted, but styled it out. It felt weird being with them and not having a fag but so glad I didn't succumb!

Onwards and upwards indeed :)
