Hello guys and girls,

Not been posting the past couple of days as things are tuff. Suppose being a man I'm a bit ashamed to admit my emotions are at an all time low. Cravings I've been dealing with rather well but the tears just won't stop flooding!!

Still fighting through this as I know its all part of the process but its been nearly three days now!! Actually shedding a tear as I'm writing this. Well hey least I can get the polish out on the keyboard. Ha ha.

Your comments have helped me so much and I keep reminding myself why I'm doing this!!Going to try and force a gym session to pump some blood back into the body and oxygen into the mind.

Oh 'Cry me a river springs to mind' Man up and move on !!!! Hope your all having a fun weekend :D X

LOL,I do sympathise with you Roachy because I'm a cry baby too.:(

This quitting malarky plays havoc with the emotions because when we were down before we reached for our little " friend".

We now know it was never that just a crutch to lean on.But we had down days when we smoked too,the nic never took them away.

We can and will deal with the good the bad and the ugly without smoking...we will....

Smoking is not an option" :D

Laugh if you want to and cry if you have to x

Don't you be ashamed Rochey :)

It'll soon pass and it's good for you. Just think of it being yet another way in which your body rids itself of all the poisons.

Yes, get down the gym and get some dolphins :D swimming around your brain.

And you're doing fab, you really are.

And be kind to yourself - yes, get down the gym, but be kind to yourself too - so a small treat or indulgence maybe? Magazine? DVD? Bottle of good red?

Do keep posting, the srtuggles of others help me with my own

Big hugs to you

Mina

Alright mate

Don't worry about shedding a few tears, the withdrawal gets to us all and it can be very emotional. Cry, shout, sob, it is all temporary and shows just how addictive this filthy habit of ours is. Don't worry about having to man up, by sharing the pain you have manned up, and will have shown some of the other blokes it is ok to feel like this. More power to you my friend!

Keep on keeping on :)

Jim

Guess who's back, back again!!

Hey peeps, just in from gym. Had to dig real deep but that's expected a? Who said this was going to be easy? Treating myself to a nice big fat M&S cream slice with a cup of rosey :) Hmmmmmmmmmnn!!!! Most defo washed and sweated some of those dirty chemicals out of the system. Still bit weird how emotions just creep up like the cravings. As we all know 1 day at a time!! Could also be a lot worst and have the floods in my area so if there is anyone out there who's affected my thoughts go out to you.

Bring on day 14!!

Wow that's week 2 soon, I'm getting good at this!! lol. Thank you fantastic forum friends. Stay strong!! XxX

p.s Damn totally ruined that gym session with that cream slice. Nice though!! ;)X

I'm so glad a gym session (and cream slice and cuppa :p:p) helped you along.

It really is weird what this quitting does to our emotions, whoda thought it eh ?

You are doing so well, and you managed this 'down' brilliantly.

It's good if we can see these downs for what they are, stand back and say "OK, bring it on, I'll deal with it" as you did. :):) All power to you :D:D:D

Thank you peeps, that's all we can do is pick ourselves and carry on, otherwise the poison has won!! ;) x
