Hi all, new to this site, I'm now on day 21 of being smoke free and am finding it surprisingly easy using 15mg patches. Only once have I had the urge to smoke, but it was short lived, however I have been here before, tried to quit numerous times in the past, the last time was a couple of years ago and stopped for 5 months then stupidly started again, just one in the mornings was satisfactory for a while then it escalated as it does. I think its a bit like being an ex alchoholic, you can never have another drink - you can never have another fag. This time I am determined NEVER to go back on them and I congratulate myself and all you guys on here for doing the same. Think how much money we are saving. Lets keep up the good work
day 21: Hi all, new to this site, I'm now on... - No Smoking Day
day 21
Hiya Ellie and welcome
It sounds like you're off to a really good start there and you've got the right mindset!!
You're right, we can't ever have just the one, and it's great you've realised that 'cos it's cost a lot of people a lot of quits in the past - me included!!
Patches are fab aren't they?
They sure are Gemma-lou, don't think I could do this without them. I remember years ago trying to go cold turkey - oh the agony - and obviousy just didn't work for me. but everyone is different.

Oh eek!!
Am in awe of anyone who can do cold turkey!! Did manage once, but only because I was ill and smoking was like drinking fire :eek: - then like an idiot I started again after 18 months smoke free
it's fab there's so many ways of stopping though, literally something for everyone!!
