Rollies or fags ?

I only smoked fags for a couple of year then went onto rollies.......I always thought rollies were more pure so maybe less harmful :confused: .......just wondered what other peoples thought on it are

Not sure, there's less tobacco in rollies and they don't have the keeping burning stuff in them, but I think they have the other additives in?

They both bad for us anyway aren't they....was just reading about all these different chemicals thats all lol .......a scary amount goes into em x

Fags are the only product which if used the way they're intended will kill the consumer - why are they still legal?

Like you, I thought that smoking rollies was better for me than ciggarettes, which is why I switched.

Having had some thought on the subject, I can honestly say that it was my minds way of trying to rationalise me smoking, I would tell myself any nonsence to explain why I was slowly killing myself. It's only now from my new perspective of being a non smoker that I can appreciated what an enormous idiot I was for smoking at all in the first place, in fact, the only bad thing I have thought about so far in my quit was that I wish I'd have quit earlier and not been such a scaredy cat about it.

In answer to your question, I think they are both as bad as each other but thats just a guess from me as I have no real idea either way.

Smoking makes us kid ourselves soooo much and because we're addicted, we swallow the BS so easily :mad::mad:

That was why i smoked "lights" - because they must be healthier than the normal ones :eek::mad::o:eek:

Oooh and Doofus, don't feel bad about not quitting sooner - the main hold smoking has over any of us is fear, it's what keeps us smoking.

I started on 'real' cigarettes but moved on to tobacco fairly swiftly. Have switched back a couple of times but largely I was a roll up smoker. It was more economical and I could control the amount of tobacco in my smokes, which was the only bonus. Never thought it was any healthier than real cigarettes.

I smoked rollies for the majority of my smoking days too, partly because it was cheaper and partly because I preferred the taste to tailor-made fags. I certainly kidded myself that hand rolling tobacco was somehow 'purer' but realisically, I don't think the effect was any less harmful. The other drawback with rollies was the nicotine stains on my fingers and teeth, which I hated. :mad:

Oh, how glad I am that I need never roll a tab again!!
