Hi everyone!

Well I survived - I really think having a 'shout' on here and your supportive replies really helped me through yesterday. Had a grim day in a grim week tbh but didn't reach for a cigarette and I'm relieved.

So Thankyou all so much for taking the time to post - knowing I'm not doing this alone is a huge inspiration. Onwards into day 66.

I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for this forum and all the people on here.. I just wish I'd stuck to my silly half hearted NY quit last year and I'd be celebrating with a you penthouse residents by now! Oh well, this is the one, of that I'm sure!

I know the urge may be there at times but the fact you have come so far means you dont need to smoke. It would be pointless if you smoked now anyways, you would get no relief from it. Its mind tricks now hun that notion, that *fix* went after a few weeks. All that would happen is at the end of the fag you would think 'i feel no different, actually i feel worse because i have 4000 chemicals now in my blood stream....oh...damm im addicted again as well...the monster is awake' and then the self hatred sets in and you smoke another....and the cycle is back.

lol hope that puts you off for while
