This forum will help I promise you. You'll be taking advice in the first few days but giving it before the week is out....

Hi

Thanks for all of your kind and supportive words. Failed again, got up this morning and lit a fag why I don't know. Did I expect to get up and be a ex smoker with no input from me. Who am I kidding.

I feel that I could get real support here and I really want to try perhaps I just want it to be easy but know it's not. Tomorrow is another day and I will try again or not try as it seems, just crawl back into this smoking hole I have created.

Try not to think of it as giving anything up - think of it as escaping an addiction...

Maybe take it a bit slower than you are trying to do - how about pushing it for ONE HOUR tomorrow morning - just an hour.

Look at your watch when you are just about to spark up, and put the fags down for ONE HOUR. Then the day after do two hours and so on....push each morning longer and longer.

Before you know it you'll only be an afternoon smoker, then only an evening smoker, and then you might make it to bedtime. Once you've gone that first 24 hour period you suddenly realise it can be done.

That's how I got to the rich green pastures of Day 6....and it's already much easier than the first few days. It's that quick.
