I gave up July 1st last year after being on 20-30 a day for 20 years. Was doing really well until a month ago, but then used stress as an excuse and had a cigarette. Could really really kick myself. Started smoking between 3-4 a day. Stopped again last Thursday and now finishing up day four.
It has been a really hard day. I recognise that I mostly want to smoke when I'm bored, but I really had forgotten how hard it was.
Very nice to be back reading all this though, had forgotten how comforting this is. About an hour ago I was going to go and buy a packet of fags, but reading this forum convinced me otherwise.
Day five, here I come!

Thanks for the reminder that we can never become complacent or let our guard down as far as 'Ol Nic is concerned
Thankfully, you quickly saw the error of your ways and remembered that YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE A SMOKER! (sorry for shouting!)
Be on your guard and you will soon have your head back where it was a few months ago. Stick around this site - it can be a great help as you already know
I remember you from last your i caved too and started back Jan 1st this year. stick with it you have not been back smoking long so maybe you will get back on track faster. hope so anyway off to work now speak later. xxxx
thanks for all the support. Day five and still going slowly mad. Hoping it will start to ease off. I am a very good warning as to why you don't even smoke a puff! Although am eating excessive amounts of cake!
Thanks again, will keep reading, and value the help
Also have you tried chewing Airways chewing gum the menthol ones. They really have helped me and still chewing them now and its been three and half months.
Keep posting and letting us know how you are getting on...
