Welcome Rosey, Yes you can do this and you will learn from past mistakes too.I will look forward to seeing how all our new year quitters are doing and I look forward to seeing them all succeed
Well done on day 1 can I ask u went back to fags after 7 years??
I just wonder because I want it to be forever is smoking still on ur mind after all that time?
I'm not being judgemental I'm honestly not but I just don't understand this is such a hard thing to do and thought of maybe having one at 2 3 or even longer quit horrifies me and makes me wonder is it all worth it! Xxx
Hi I too am on day one, its my first serious attempt to give up in 20 years and I am rather anxious but coping. I am looking forward to my bed tonight See you on day 2, good luck!
Hi!!
Well I made it into day 2, hope you all did too
I've woken with a very bad cough today, I'm using the electronic cigs. Wonder if it's the cause, although I've only had a few puffs on it...
Someone asked why I started back up after 7 years....
I quit when I found out I was pregnant so I did find it fairly easy as I have with all my pregnancies. I was with a very controlling man at the time and when our son was born he wouldn't let me start again, although I was glad I quit and would have done anyway for my baby boy I felt I was forced into staying quit because of him.
I'm now remarried and my hubby smokes, we have quite a stressful life really, stressful jobs, and one day I just brought 10 and was goin to have "one" before I knew it I was back on 15-20 a day!!
You can do it, it's hard going and you will get cravings 7 years down the line but they are different, much less intense and very easy to ignore! You've done the hard bit. Don't give in now!
Well done and good luck.
