2 months smokefree over and done with . it wasnt easy and it wasnt difficult as far as not smoking is concerned anyway i just didnt smoke or want to.I made a decision to quit and dont see the point of not succeeding with it. ive tried the 1 cigarette wont hurt boloney as well as a cigarette would make things better craperoonie and discovered them to be lies, so there is no point in even entertaining them ever again. I hope i never smoke again ,it would be a choice that i would regret but knowledge like this doesnt mean i wont ignore this knowledge . vigilance is neccessary on a daily basis, not obsessively just a quick spray of it now and again.
Happy new year one and all.

I think we done well to quit 2-3 months before xmas and new years you know mash, because we are still in the 'honey moon' period of our quits and that really helped us to get through the hardest time of year for ex smokers! Unfortunately a lot of people relapse in december but by next december you will be over a year quit think of that!!
You sound to me as if you see through the addictions lies now, you know what its all about, been there..done that! your right..you have come too far now to to ever turn back, that would be like a non smoker taking up smoking at 40 lol why would you bother? great work and welcome to month 3 forum xxx

Cheers folks for your replies.Niki is right about me relapsing now being like a non smoker starting the habit . It would be stupid.
I also lovee the checklist @egg It very succinct and proves that we have to keep it simple cos ultimately it is... saying No isnt difficult especially once we've said it a few times. Over the years as a smoker though i've found that little word to be just not something I could even consider. I'm reframing my quit from giving up To saying no, often, sometimes its a Naah. I love saying no nowadays , its not just related to smoking either ,its winding its way into other areas of my life with regards to all forms of toxicity.. NO NO NO are craves to be feared ? NO .... Say yes to No ... now im rambling or is it babbling. Love the tiger Max.
it has to be i wouldnt want to ever be in a position of a smoker who wants to quit but is scared to, In that badland of should i stay or should i go now which for me went on for months. This is followed by stopping and starting for another couple o weeks and spending a fortune on smokes some of which get flushed down the loo . No its a vile place a badass land and im not sure i have another quit in me. so i may as well stay put and realize the grass here is green enough. cigarettes are never as good as u think they are going to be anyway.
