New here. It's coming to the end of Day 2 for me. I've quit before. Stopped every time I discovered I was pregnant. That's two times. Stopped again early last year for 3 months. Then I thought let me just have one... I got cocky. Here I am quitting again.
I am restless in a hotel in a foreign country and all I wanna do is run to the gift shop to buy a pack. I've been exhausted today. I just want to sleep and sleep and sleep. But I'm going to beat this thing once and for all.
3 hours to go before I go to sleep... This is torture.

You are doing so well.....especially in a hotel abroad - 2 more days and things get so much easier.....try having showers, cleaning teeth, breathing very deep, watch something funny etc - good luck!
Thanks everybody. Yes, I've been reading tips here and they are great. Gosh, I've really tried to quit but I think I always believed that I was giving something up. I feel different now. My mind just said "It's time". I've smoked since 1996i and I always felt like I enjoyed smoking. Lately, I haven't been enjoying it. Even when I quit last year, I really wanted to smoke. I guess being overseas for a month has contributed since I've had a bit of a crisis with brands. You know what I mean?
It's stupid that when I can't find the brand I am used to and I switch, I find it disgusting and yet keep going until I'm used to it. Dumb!! Well, I've had to switch brands 3 or 4 times while here. And I realized something. I'm not addicted to smoking cigarettes. I'm addicted to nicotine period. Since I hate the smell, the anti-social aspect of smoking, etc, why was I lighting up?
