I'll be smoke free 5 weeks on Sunday with the aid of champix but I have been short of breath lately. I've been cycling to and from work the last 3 weeks (5 mile round trip) and am not sure if it's the lungs reacting to exercise or the Champix?????

Dara. Well done on 5 weeks. That's fantastic. I can't speak for the champix, as I went cold turkey. I do remember though.....feeling quite short of breath in the early weeks/months. I reckon your lungs are really busy trying to clear out all the gunk and more so since you are now exercising like a good 'un. Many of us have felt worse before we felt better.....i'm sure its all good. If you're REALLY worried though....a trip to the doctor wouldn't hurt. Keep it up.....keep up the cycling. Well done you.
Hi Dara. Yep, well done for getting this far I quit using Champix for a few weeks and had no problems like you describe but also I don't do anywhere near the level of exercise you describe  I would be inclined to visit your GP. Let us know how you get on as other members may experience the same
