Day 4....knackered...

....& feel like my head's stuffed with cotton wool. I feel like I'm in water...everything's a real effort, including my breathing atm & I can't concentrate on anything. On the plus side, I've only used the E cig twice & that was literally 1 puff each time, so they don't encourage smoking or make giving up harder for me...in fact, after having quit 4 times before, this has been the easiest quit ever (so far, that is) having these e cigs to fall back on. Urgh...roll on bedtime

Stay with it Sophie :)

Nicotine is a huge stimulant, and going from 30-odd fags a day to 0 is a heck of a shock to you, a good one but it still takes some getting used to!!

That's partly why your concentration's shot as well, I was exactly the same when I quit the real and electric ciggies but it doesn't last long at all :)

No harm in going to bed early, or curling up on the sofa for a snooze hun, I've done it plenty!!

Don't worry, Max...the one thing in my favour is that I'm one of the most stubborn mares on the planet...the whole family says that once I've made up my mind to do something, I'll see it through to the bitter end. Just getting through these few days 'hell week' to feel the benefits & hoping I don't fall at the 6 month hurdle again.

I know how you are feeling Sophie.

I sat down earlier to watch the Grand Prix on TV. I must have watched about 5 mins....next thing I know, Im laid on the sofa and Ive lost 2 hours!! If it wasnt for my two dogs giving me some none too subtle hints that it was their dinner time, I think I would still be sparko!

Youre doing great Sophie...Im sure things will start to get easier for us.

Sophiep,

You have my sympathies! Nearly three weeks for me and although the foggy brain is clearing, I'm still in zombie land. I've achieved no more than basic day-to-day living during that time, just can't settle down or get anything done and I haven't had one single decent night's sleep. The symptoms change every few days, I'm on raging heartburn at the moment! But it's worth it!

Lol...I'm with all of you...from the falling asleep & losing a couple of hours to the raging heartburn! Each time I've quit, there seems to be a different withdrawal symptom...which makes me wonder how stupid I must be to go back to the dreaded Nick O'teen after having given it up for so long! I am utterly determined that this is going to be the very last time I quit. Seems ****** insane to keep going thru this!!! Here's to all of us continuing the quit! :D
