You can start by accident, you can just run out and not buy anymore like I did! You can go to the docs with a minor chest infection that turns into a demon! It can also be an angel in disguise when your told you've had the infection for months or even years but the smoking hid it on you. Massive doses of steroids soon wake you up to your stupidity.

Use the site it's brilliant, it's funny, sad and scary at times. You follow amusing people and hear strange stories (smoking in the shower springs to mind!)

Each quit is unique and very personal. You have to keep trying, if you do, you will crack it. It's horribly difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are an addict, and addiction is cruel and physical and psychological and a massive challenge your so proud to beat.

There is no shame in failure ! You'll just be stronger next time round, good luck to you all, you can do it.

NOPE - Not one puff ever , a wise motto collected from a captain I think!

I may be the one who first brought up smoking in the shower, because I know I did, way back when.

Surprisingly, it's not all that difficult. My shower had glass doors, not a shower curtain. I could perch a small ashtray on top on the thing that held the rails for the door.

Once up there it was a simple matter of lighting the cigarette, wiping one's hand dry on a dry spot on one's body (or keeping a small towel up there as well), grasping the smoking paper tube, and bringing it to one's lips.

Yes, occasionally they got wet but if they weren't wet all way 'round, they would still work.

It was completely bozo-like to do such a thing, which is probably what appealed to me back then.

ahhh so posh people that have shower doors can smoke

:p

but that would be difficult with a shower curtain

mind you thinking about what i used to do everytime i was in the shower which i used to think was normal and that was scrub my fingers to try and get rid of the yellow stains

i rolled my own and always had some yellow marks on my fingers and sometimes lips too and if i scrubbed my finger too hard i would have to put a plaster on as it was too sore

how mad is that
