After yesterday i really feel like i have turned a corner. I am feeling so much better, getting less and less cravings and i have noticed a massive improvement in that lost/sad feeling.
I have booked the day off work today as i need to do a load of jobs at home all day with my hubby, which will be bit of a challange:eek:. It seems to be more difficult at home also as i have already said my hubby seems to have PMT at the moment. I am also a bit worried as i noticed a few others have had a really bad day on day 7 as most of us did on day 2.
No doubt i will be checking in all day today for my well needed injection of support and lovin. lol
Morning lornaj, are you still on day 7 with me? let me know how your doing?
Cheers everyone

well done to you as well, day 6 really was a turning point for me and felt loads better since, only a few more days for you and i sure you will notice the improvement.
I really feel like i am on top of the cravings its just the bloody habbit thing that keeps getting me, like when i get home from work the first thing i used to do was to have a cupa and a fag. i think i have got a way to go before i stop thinking about that.
Bloody hell day 7 already (time flys when you're having fun:p). Seriously well done, my first goal is to reach day 7 (I'm on day 3) as I think day 7 is a huge step. Enjoy your day, just think of the rest of us slaving away at work
As this is your first attemt? what has made you want to stop (if that is not too personal a question)
I have tried a few times but not in the last few years but really want to do it for all the reasons, kids, health, money. It is mainly health as I lost both my mum and dad at an early age due to smoking so i would love to quit and last a bit longer than they did.
Its amazing how we all know how bad it is for us but we just cant help ourselves, its crazy but great to know we are free of it.
Your post is a huge boost to me!! I felt from day 3 onwards, I struggled more and felt so hard done by but it sounds as though this might ease from day 7.
Massive well done for getting over your first week!!

I'm sorry to hear about your parents my love (huge hug). In all fairness I can not give you a good reason for me wanting to give up, it's not health and money that made me (even though that's a bonus). It took me 12 months to finally go that's it, I've had my fun and that's it.
Hubby and I are well travelled and we were supposed to go to New Zealand this year but I made an excuse and we did not go, however the reason I did not want to go is I could not cope with the flight and no smoking!! When we went to Australia I had to take sleeping tablets on the way back, how silly is that. We went on a cruise this year and most cruise companies now have brought in strict no smoking rules and I found it just a pain in the backside to have a cigarette.
The other thing is I'm sick of being a leper, we have a good social life but I'm the only smoker, so it's always me popping out to have a quick fag etc.
Anyway my reasons are probably lame but that's them.

Hi loiusejane
how your feeling is how i felt 3 days ago and its amazing how it all changes. None if it is easy though. I really find coming on here helpful and think that if i did have a cig how i would be letting everyone down on here as well as myself.
let me know if you feel better tomorrow, good luck.
Been reading on the train today but only just home. Day 7 is wonderful, well done Flipper, I am still with you.
Been so busy today have not had time to think about smoking so it has been really easy today BUT....because I have not had much to eat and taken my evening tablet later with a slice of toast rather than a full meal I feel really sick. Lesson learned, I HAVE to take these with plenty food.
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow.....going to have to go to bed and sleep or I really will throw up.
