 Back again 4th time on this forum trying to stop, done previous quits with champix, doing this one CT. I found yesterday a lot easier than today, I am craving quite terribly at the moment and in all honestly feel like tearing my hair out, I am breathing through the cravings and drinking a lot of water. It is depressing me so much I cannot wait to go to bed and just end this god awful day....Rant over!!
Day 2 worse than Day 1:  Back again 4th... - No Smoking Day
Day 2 worse than Day 1
I will reply to myself just to keep myself sane....just another 47 mins to go and then another hour is done...I am taking this hour by hour.....
Bossedean
Welcome back to the Forum. You are doing the right thing taking baby steps hour by hour. My advice would be not to look too far ahead, drink lots of iced water, also grapefruit juice helped me. And walk lots, if you don't have one, borrow a dog!! Wishing you all the love and luck in your quit journey.

Mornin/evenin Boss
Take it minute by minute if need be!
None of us can change the future so just live in the second you are "in" right now.
You know what to expect now so try to relax and see where it takes you
Wish you all the strength for your quit
Well done for trying again
Take care
Greg
Stick with it Boss. It is difficult, but honestly it is so worth it. Phil's right- normal service is eventually resumed.Though I feel for you cos those first days can be horrible. xx
yeah you are right I know what its like, just never done it cold turkey before and it is so different, harsh, unforgiving but strangely satisfying getting through the hours, thanks for all your support thats why I am back and I will be giving the support back when my heads a bit straighter...

Hi bossdean. I too am taking the CT route as we're all different with differing motivations, and for me I think sticking two fingers up at the whole thing is my way of proving the point. But my mother quit in the late 80's with NRT gum, so hey - whatever works.
Tomorrow will be better. Then the next day. And the next as you know already. Genuinely good luck with your quit, tomorrow is another smoke fee day and I'll think of you as we go. This time it's for real and it's not going to get the better of you - of that we're all sure!
Hey Bossdean,
The first few days are tough as you already know but you will now be on day 3 and most of the nicotine should have gone from your system by now so it will start to get easier. I too quit cold turkey and pretty much wrote off the first few days but the craves do go. I'm into my 3rd month now and only fleetingly think about smoking but they're not true craves as such and easily pass.
Keep going and stay strong
Karen xx
