Day 6 - Struggling

I managed the weekend, yesterday was tough tough tough as we went for a pub lunch and I so wanted to light up with my pint.

Today again I feel on edge and have been craving since I woke up. Going to stay strong though as I have managed thus far.

Wednesday should be fun as it's my birthday!!

Well done DaBear, you are doing brilliantly.

Keep going DaBear. What seems tough now, you will laugh at in the near future.

Replace the cravings with positives, and enjoy tasting the pub grub and the beer....if you really think about it, they taste much better without a mouthful of ash!! :D

I know exactly how you're feeling, not having a good day myself trying to hang in there & looking at all the positives to this struggle. I know it will be worth it in the end...so deep breaths & get on with our day.

Lots of luck, im right there with you Dabear.

YOU CAN DO IT....ALL Of YOU :)

I read a good phrase on a cessation website a while ago regarding craves.

What Resists .... Persists!

Let the craves in and try to see them for exactly what they are.

Try to distance yourself and look at them rather than be stuck slap bang in the middle of them.

In the grand scheme of things it is just a fleeting moment and you will be weeks/months down the line before you know it :)

Stay strong peeps

Take care

Greg

Your doing amazing! :)

I cant even think about going for a drink just yet so the fact that you have got that out the way means it will only get much easier as that's the hardest thing for an ex smoker!!!

Keep up the good work

One more day...

...and you'll be joining us in week 2! In fact, your first post in week 2 will be on your birthday!

Come on, DaBear, you can do it.
