These days I don't have quite so much time as I used to, to post on the forum. And I've seen so many fantastic new quitters in the last few days - and this post really does encapsulate the best advice I can give, stuff that helped me a lot at various points in my 2 year quit. I hope it's useful to someone.
Not at all sure of the forum etiquette of bumping one's own post, but I'm not going to type it all out again!!!
Good luck to you all starting out. You can do this thing!
I'm only a week into my quit, and your advice gives me strength for going into week 2. I especially can resonate with the 'but I enjoyed smoking ...' part. I feel like I've lost my best friend. We've been through loads together.
But yes, it's Nasty Nic that's implanting this. Other people get through both good and bad experiences in their life without cigarettes. So can I!
