Hi everyone, just wanted to wish everyone on here a very happy easter, hope everyone has a good time, eats lots of chocolate eggs, and has fun whatever you are up to. As long as we all choose not to smoke im sure we will have a cracking easter! (bad i know)

Ive reached 30 days quit today and cant believe i got here!

I made the decision the week before non smoking day, i went to the doctors seen the smoking cessation nurse and so armed with nrt i started my quit on non smoking day.

Well the first few days were tough but finding this forum on my first day must have been fate.

There have been a few tough days but overall it has not been as hard as i thought. It is a learning process, like now i have to learn to be a non smoker after 20 years of feeding the addiction. At times i think im too tired of trying and giving my whole energy to my quit and why dont i just smoke and quit later, but then i hear myself shouting back NO im not going through this again, and i know there is not an option of just one more cig, tried that before and was back on 20 a day within a week, so for me its a choice either smoke or dont smoke and each day i choose not to smoke and it must be working!

Anyway im waffling a bit now, just thought id share with everyone my 30 day milestone and my thoughts at the moment.

ha ha I was gonna be good and have no easter eggs, but I had visitors yesterday and ended up with a lovely big quality street and yorkie easter egg, be rude not to eat them.... Congratulations Tracy on 30 days, You will be a whole month today..... So congratulations on that too.

I struggled last night on day 34 as I went out for my first drink, and tonight, should never have left this long to face these tiggers,but if I get to Sunday without smoking, will be really pleased.... I WILL do it.
