Hiya Chels,
Hang in there duckie, I cried like a baby for the first week or so! It fades and gets better really quickly. Honestly, if you take stock of how you feel in another 7 days time you won't be able to believe the difference. Every single day something gets just a little easier.
Please just grit your teeth and do whatever you have to do to get through.
You're doing brilliantly! Keep going!

Hi Chels
Its a real roller-coaster of emotions.
Let them in, examine them from a slight distance, and learn from them.
As Molly says, it really does get easier and in no time at all (in the scheme of things) you'll wonder what you were worried about.
Try keeping a little journal and jot down each day how you feel. Keep looking back at it every now and then and see how you change.
I used to keep some small papers on my desk at the very start and I would write (every hour) date, time, what I was doing and how I felt.
Then I wrote a positive affirmation on the bottom of each one "I have no need or desire to smoke" or something similar.
Now I don't write on it at all....just think "what's all these bloody bits of paper doing on my desk!"
Keep going, baby steps
You CAN do this
Take care
Greg
Hang in there Chels, i'm on day 4 as well, i'm using patches & a couple times today i've used my e-cig, but to be honest i dont feel too bad (prob due to using NRT) but i'm proud to say we both haven't succumbed to a cigarette have we?
Take it hour by hour & try to stay positive. This site is a great help, lots of support & inspiring posts.
Just remember why you dont want/need to smoke...there are no benefits from lighting up but we have so much to look forward to...freedom being the main thing, not having to plan your day around nipping out to smoke, how pathetic does that sound when you say it out loud? the hours i've wasted worrying about when i can get out to have a fag!
We can beat this together, stay strong
Take care
Trudy
