Hi Guys...sounds like we are all still winning.....really happy to hear that.....been through many a scenario that has tested my mettle....thinking about booking a holiday....but that could be the mother of all situations...any of you guys been through that yet?...probably not as it's not really holiday season.....but some Winter sun is tempting me!!!!!

I was dreading going on holiday last year, but you know what, it wasn't bad at all:rolleyes: this was despite my OH happily puffing away and my youngest son smoking in front of me for the first time:eek

Magwillz...that sounds like HELL !!!!...how did you cope?....I like a beer...especially on holiday....sitting al fresco sipping a cold one without a smoke is going to really test me....but I have to face it at some time I suppose....may take the plunge next month...wish me luck!!!!!!

Think I went on my hols a month after I quit, which was a bit sooner than I would have liked....but I found being in a different place, doing different things to be a big help, so it's not all that bad really.

I'm gonna lap up some winter sun in a couple of weeks, and I can't wait!! :D

I went to Teneriffe and it seemed that the whole island smoked!!!!

The thing that shocked me most was seeing people offering cigs round the table. Haven't seen this in the UK for sometime. 1 because theyre so expensive and 2 I really think smoking is becoming more and more unfashionable.

I just sort of switched off but still enjoyed a nice cold one even more

Thanks Magwillz.....yes....the Canaries seems to be like that....I also believe it is becoming unfashionable.....and there will soon be unbelieveable pressure on people to quit...just so glad I have done this before that happens....I am almost looking forward to not having that last drag before the flight......looking for somewhere as soon as we land to get the first one in....not having to leave the restaurant table etc....and seeing my daughter so pleased and proud of me......it is sort of liberating....has to be the way to look at it.
