So its Day 16 for me and this week I decided that no way was I going to buy in to the terrible 3's. No way. So today I got the terrible 3's :o. It started cos I went to see about a job, which I badly need. So before I went I told myself I mustn't get my hopes up or get upset if things didn't work out the way I wanted, so much for that plan :rolleyes:. Thing was I was told that its unlikely that my application will go through cos I have had debt problems, in other words, they don't employ 'people like me'. So I felt pretty devastated, cos I had got my hopes up only to get them smashed to smithareens. So I did all the drama queen bit of copious tears, thinking 'my life is like being slapped repeatedly round the face 24/7' and started formulating a plot to run naked through the streets with a bottle of wine in one hand and a cigarette in the other shouting 'f*** the bas*****'. (Own asterisks inserted). LOL I do tend to overeact a bit don't I :eek:

So, like the song says, 'Three wheels on my wagon, and I'm still rolling along ....'

Might get drunk though. But give the running through the streets naked bit a miss. Might be best hey lol

The thing I remember about working in the UK was that for every job, there were so so many applicants. What you have to ask yourself is "do I really want to work in a place where they discriminate against people who have debt problems?, the very people who would probably work harder to try to improve their situation". I'll bet the answer is no. Everything happens for a reason. I went for two years trying to find a job, I came close on several occasions but was denied for whatever reason. I would not have the job that I have now, which I love, if I had taken one of the previous ones (where the company went bankrupt or were sold off).

Always look on the bright side of life.

I would also hold off with the naked part too... don't want to give employers another petty reason to not consider you.

see your doing so well so you should stand tall and look at it as there loss at the end of the day

as Keith says would you really want to work for a company that is like that and saying that a company wont employ someone that has debts is horrific :eek:

Thanks guys, Keith and Carole you're right I wouldn't want to work for a company like that so stuff 'em, they are not worthy of the mighty Zo :D. Carole I would have a cake but I am on the chocolate again whoops Mash you made me laugh, I am north of Watford so maybe that explains my bad language, just as well I don't live on the Isle of Skye :eek: lol!! Aitch, knowing my luck if I walked under a ladder it would fall down on me and my head would get stuck between the rungs :(. I'm still working off all the bad luck from the mirrors I broke donkeys years ago........

Seriously, we're all here to help each other, I have no doubt there will be a day that I have to look for some cheering up.

Zoe, you should be proud that you didn't give in. If I hadn't reached out for a cigarette on Saturday I would be in my third week. Did it solve anything? NO. Did I enjoy smoking them? NO. What good did it do? NONE. Unlike me, you can hold your head up and tell the world you survived in adversity. Keep it up

I am finding things a bit tough the last couple of days, could have easily smoked this lunchtime and still feel pretty close to it. I need some good quality distraction activities that don't cost anything lol and please don't anyone say housework cos I would defo smoke if I tried to clean anything at the mo lol :eek: xx
