Thanks....nearly on day 2 now and I've only snapped, snarled and bitten heads off (not literally) about a hundred times in the last 24 hours. I must be an absolute joy to be around lol

I am now on Day 11 and this is my first attempt on Champix, I must admit that it is so much easier with the champix, Since I started smoking when I was about 12 years old I have only ever made 1 attempt to quit and didnt last longer than a few hours, This time feels different and Im extremely positive, I have no cravings for cigarettes at all!!!! Just those Triggers at certain times when we would have had a smoke before and now you arent, Its rather annoying, Good luck everyone, Stay strong.. WE CAN DO THIS!:D

Well done Carolyn for deciding to quit and doing something about it. i know what you mean about those smoking triggers and the way they seem to stop you in your tracks and cause one to think oh this is one of those times i used to smoke. there will be lots of these be warned so just tick them off one at a time as you go through them smokefree. one day you might even say hey i havnt thought of smoking for ages

One day at a time. is my mantra.

all the best mash x ps i started smoking when young and have wanted to quit since then. could only manage a couple of hours so gave up on the idea . its taken years for me to reach this point of quitting for more than a few hrs and realizing its what ive always wanted to do and isnt really hard because i so want this.

Its dreadful isnt it lol

I have a open plan kitchen off my lounge and I use to keep my cigs on my kitchen counter, I will walk down the passage from my room with a clear mind, not thinking of anything at all...walk into the lounge... up to the counter and pause for a second and feel totally lost and try and think ...Hmmm what do I do now..."maybe make some coffee?"

lol it gets rather frustrating at times but you are right...im sure it will get a lot easier at times goes by, Thanks for the advice!

Well done on your quit and keep it up!:)you are doing soooooo great!!
