3 years!!

3 years and 3 days quit.... about 30000 fags NOT smoked. As a smoker I had 2-3 at least before leaving the house, and a couple more before work, I had as many as I could fit into my work day, god, I remember the stress of having to run off, smoke fast, wash up, mints/gum, etc, at home I could puff away and I certainly did, while my little one was inside wondering what the hell I was up to outside in the cold... these days I never ever crave them but rather frequently rejoice in the fact to have escaped my addiction. When you realize that not smoking is better in EVERY way than smoking you'll easily maintain your quit.... it's being stuck in the thinking that you're gaining something from smoking or missing something if you don't that will keep you in in the midst of your addiction. My wish is for everyone to escape too! Cheers xx

Your post gave me so many flashbacks, including being sat at my old tower, in the study doing cat pics.

First 6 months definately, on your guard and to this day on my guard around booze. Booze and fags, fags and booze an unholy duo.
