I have created a group for all those that have quit this month, hopefully this can be a useful tool for us to encourage one an other as we may be experiencing the same sort of feelings as each other and will be help each other through it. Could be a good place also to vent out our frustrations rather than on those who are around us. We here in the forum and group will understand more fully.
Good Luck all
Don

Hi Don, i think i've just managed to join this. Hope you don't mind. I quit 24th jan but didn't navigate the site well enough to join a group, and seem to have missed the boat re a group. Can we all have a gun too as its your group. I think that would be handy. I could shoot any nicodemons trying to sneak in.
Of course I don't mind you joining this group, as far as I see the more the better, however I do not view this as my group, its ours and all those that join. Wouldn't it be great just to shoot those lil blighters but I feel my boss would frown upon me if rifles started to go missing lol.
Agreed, Day 1 today for me, and was absolutely fine with my wife smoking around me, she goes to work, still fine but fighting cravings, then teatime is over, bellies full, and somehow the meal feels incomplete. Of course I know what's missing, but in no way shall cave to the crave.

Hi Don, i'm on day 10 and finding the time after dinner is the worst crave I've got left. I've just made sure I don't sit down straight away and when I do it's with a cuppa. Keep going, sounds like you're off to a great start good luck
Signature changed, you are right it is catchy and with the right sort of message I feel.
This, unfortunately isn't my first attempt at quitting, so am not getting carried away with how I am feeling at the end of Day 1. I know that each day has its new temptations for me. May not be my first quit, but this time it will be the last, no turning back this time.
I am new on this site, but unfortunately not new to stopping smoking. This is my second attempt, with my first going cold turkey but I think I craved far too much which resulted in me starting again.
So this time I am trying the patches, chewing gum, green tea and orange juice (the last two helped last time!). 11am and I would have two smokes under my belt so far so considering that good going.
How do I become a member of the feb quitters? I think being part of a group my help!
