I'm so glad to see this big event. I hope that everyone who has been there before can join together to help others quit.

I smoked for 20 years. Since I was only 9/10 years old. Sad isn't it (I wrote about my story here. Kids should Never start smoking.

I'm not afraid to write about my experience as a smoker and all the reasons why I loved smoking and also why I hated it. There were so many reasons to hate smoking and want to quit. However we smokers where a funny lot and came up with some reasoning or another to keep at it.

If you are going to set the 14th of March 2012 as the day to quit. Get motivated now! Read the stories. Read the facts about your health.

This forum is great. I'm posting my experiences to help others and also as a way to get real closure and understanding of my long and unhealthy relationship with smoking. I'll be happy to share them here also so that they may help inspire others who also really want to get away from the smoking.

Great inspiring stories. I'll share more of mine soon.

Matt

After quitting, you may feel dizzy, restless, or

even have strong headaches because you’re

lacking the immediate release of sugar that

comes from nicotine. You may also have a

bigger appetite. These sugar-related cravings

should only last a few days until your body

adjusts so keep your sugar levels a bit higher

than usual on those days by drinking plenty of

juice (unless you’re a diabetic). It will help

prevent the craving symptoms and help your

body re-adjust back to normal.
