I still think about it at six months. Have many moments when I think 'oh, I really could'. But it's not painful like the early craves used to be and I wouldn't give into the impulse, because I would have to be a TOTAL FOOL.
yep me to but easy to brush off now
we have to think most of us had alot of years forming our habit and associations for me 24 years the way i look at it that is not gonna go over night or over a few months its gonna take a while to break all association
from how we feel, to going places, stress, being in certain situations, being with certain people etc
but it all gets easier and easier and it is easy to push aside the thoughts
i look back and think how i was in the first week or even the first month come to that and i appreciate how far i have come now and even though i havent stopped thinking about it totally it is alot lot less and i can deal with it
keep strong we all will get there
sorry to be the killjoy..my OH has quit for over 3 years now! he says "you could always have a fag" and that it never leaves you! I say " well that dosnt give me much hope" .............He goes on to say, but he wouldnt, its just a thought, a feeling of wanting one! .... and a fine line is between becoming a smoker once again! .... in the same breath he says "im so glad im out of it now! " when he sees my history of quit attempts!! .... I assume its a time thing like hellsbells as just said.. nice to hear it worded that way!
