As Day 14 approaches,I look back over the last 12 posting days(I've posted every day) and say to myself ...I'm so glad to be here on this forum. Its helped me immensely and I hope i've helped others. Its not exactly easy or great fun to quit smoking either emotionally or physically and IT CAN BE VERY STRESSFUL at times. One can only do ones best and take one day at a time.To break a long term habit takes courage and effort. But I know I dont want to smoke any more THATS FOR SURE....But the mind can play tricks and I forgot all the reasons I didnt want to smoke when my 6 month quit came to an end.Other people face different issues during their quit....BUT at the end of the day we are all here to quit smoking even if we need numerous attempts. Not everyone can be successful.....But this Site is fantastic for all of us who want to quit or have quit.We cant look too far into the future and maybe looking a week or two down the line keeps us focused.Smoking is BAD for your body...and now is so expensive. Its just got to be the right thing to quit.I just hope I can keep quit forever....ONE DAY AT A TIME......Best Wishes to you all....douglas.j (Senior Member night owl)...WOW!!!

Well done douglas
:)Thanks both of you wonderful wonders!!!!.....My next post tomorrow night will be on the WEEK 3 Forum.Time goes so quickly ..It seems like yesterday I re-joined the forum on DAY 3.So happy you are with me on this (and Karri and fellow quitters).its good to stick together.
You are doing fantastically well, D, and you keep reminding yourself about where you're going and how to get there, which is a great way to keep focused when things get tough.
You should be very proud of yourself. One day at a time is ABSOLUTELY the right way to approach it. As long as you don't smoke today, you'll be fine!
Keep going!
