I am 4 hours into day 2 going cold turkey. It feels much worse than yesterday my mind is unable to focus on anything other than smoking  Does it get any easier tomorrow?

Stick with it Lyd, it will get easier.

I went cold turkey and found the first few days OK, it got tougher for me around day 10 for some strange reason.

Keep battling

Hi Lyd,

I can't guarantee things will feel easier tomorrow, because everyone has their own craving patterns, from none at all to wanting to climb the walls. It is true most of the nicotine will have left your body after 3 days, so the physical effects of withdrawal should have greatly diminished by day 4. However, it is necessary to also mentally realign to the fact that one is no longer smoking, and for that there are many different techniques, mostly revolving around keeping your mind busy on other things...

One thing is for sure, it WILL get easier over time.

Hang in there!

Alex.

Lyd,

I went CT and I found the first couple of days hell, crying, agitated, no sleep, etc etc. I personally found that the realisation that after 72 hours the nicotine is compltley gone really helped, 2 days is an awesome acheivement considering you have smoked for so long.

Pat on the back for you! One hour at a time, your doing fabulously!

Keep at it

Sometimes we all wish we could just win the war and be done with it. The truth is that the war is made up of many small battles, and each craving is a battle. Just get over the craving and you will feel fine. When you have another, get over that one and move on.

I'm now closing in on year 4 of my quit. I did it cold turkey. I did it by fighting one craving at a time.

Keep up the good work and keep at it! You can do it!
