I was doing so well...then had a real bad moment through a bit of a fall out with someone......and I desided to smoke 3 cigarettes...i know I cant blame them for me smoking...but because I was just so upset I just did not care about my quit....now I feel even more frustrated that I threw away 60 days smoke free....grrrrr im such a nob

Sorry to hear that Ace. We need to stay strong during stressful times and it is really hard to do I know. Put it behind you, dont fret and stew about it, whats done is done - carry on smokefree and if you manage that then it was just a blip - carry on and smoke the pack well then you have all the hard work to go through again.

Nothing anyone can say can make it better! 3 fags is hardly the end of the world though hey?! its about the rest of you life

You know you can do it, and you also know that one day this dissapointment you are feeling can be turned around in a day ...an instant or maybe in a moment! ...not feeling best pleased with myself at the moment either but I know as well as you do, that deep down its not about quitting smoking anymore. You know you can do that, its easy. It about stopping smoking and never wanting to look back for our old friend..... if that makes sense!

Feel for you I do, and I sincerely hope you leave it at the 3.... If not, dont get too uptight about it, it will happen.... its written in the book

Thanks royal your right its a blip....i did not enjoy them at all.

The third cigarette just made me feel really ill and such an horrible after taste.

Thanks kitkat im just going to leave it at 3 because I know its really hard to work past the yuck feeling...yet in the heat of the moment I was so determind to go back to my smoking life....crazy really...think the illusion of the comfort cigarette just no longer exists anymore

for some people a blip can reinforce there quit and make them realise they definately without a doubt do not want to go back to a smoking life i hope this blip will make u stronger

Does it not make you a stronger person in so much as you have smoked 3 cigs but you are still a none smoker and that can’t be easy to do, I know from past experience that if I was to smoke even one cig that would be the end of my quit for me and I would be back to being a full time smoker again.

That’s what I did 20 years ago, I quit for 11 months and had one cigarette which was the start of another 20 years of smoking, so don’t beat yourself up too much, you are doing great to be able to throw the other 17 away and continue with you quit, yep 61 days quit is a real achievement isn’t it.

Carry on Ace and see this as others have said it’s a reinforcement of a superb quit.............ps you are not a nob :eek: untill you carry on smoking.
