Funny, they did that exact experiment on air hostess' to see if the length of the flight made any difference and it didn't. Whether it was 2 or 12 hours long it would be about the 2/3 markthey would start wanting a smoke.

Indeed, but and it's a colossal but because quitting is in the head there will be many people who 'need' NRT to succeed simply because that's what they think they need and maybe those writing the prescription think they need too!

Because there ARE physical withdrawal symptoms associated with nicotine cessation NRT will, for some, make that short period slightly easier but withdrawal from nicotine is a very different animal to withdrawal from smoking.

Unfortunately the product isn't marketed like that is it?

We live in hope. :(
